Newcomers Information Meetings

If you are interested in learning more about Willowbrook and joining the church, plan to attend a Newcomers Information meeting. They are held on selected Saturdays at 4 p.m. and Sundays at 10:45 a.m., both in the Library Lounge. Please contact the church office for the dates of the next meetings: 623-974-5637.

We’ll talk about the history and beliefs of the United Methodist Church and the ministries of Willowbrook United Methodist Church. You’ll meet members of the church and have a chance to ask questions. We want to help you find your place in the Willowbrook church family. Coffee and donuts are provided.

Those who decide they would like to join our church family will be received into membership during the worship service on selected Saturdays and Sundays.

Membership Opportunities

There are 4 types of membership in the United Methodist Church. Persons may be received: by transfer from another United Methodist Church; transfer from another denomination; reaffirmation of faith (was, but not currently affiliated with another church); or profession of faith (first time membership in a church). Winter visitors with membership in a United Methodist Church at home, may join the Willowbrook church family as Affiliate Members and retain their Full Membership in their home church. Those who are members of another denomination may join the Willowbrook church family as Associate Members and retain their membership in their home church.

New Member Celebration Luncheon

Several times a year, a celebration luncheon in honor of our new members is sponsored by the Evangelism and Membership Ministry team following the Sunday worship service. The clergy, fellowship friends, along with the Evangelism and Membership Ministry Team join with the new members in the church’s Wilson Fellowship Hall to once again welcome them as sisters and brothers in Christ.
