Memories of Christmases past come to mind as the Advent season begins. When a loved one passes away, the festivity of the holiday season represents a particularly tender time. If you have experienced the loss of a loved one, either recently or even in the distant past, you may reserve a candle to light during the Advent Service of Light as we join together to celebrate and give thanks for the lives of loved ones now departed. A reception will follow in Wilson Fellowship Hall, hosted by the Health & Welfare Committee.

Rev. Steve Marshall will lead an informal Christmas Eve service at 4:00 p.m. with carol singing, a children’s sermon telling the Christmas story and a dramatic art sermon titled “Mary, Did You Know?” The service will conclude with the traditional singing of “Silent Night” to candlelight.
